FDC Legal Secretary Okot Moses Bitek Dumps Party and Crosses Over to NRM

Former MP Says He Can Better Serve His Constituents By Working With Government

Former MP and Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) National Legal Secretary, Hon. Okot Moses Bitek, has officially crossed to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Bitek was welcomed at the NRM Secretariat in Kampala by party Secretary General Richard Todwong, alongside several former FDC members who also announced their move to the ruling party.

The group included former FDC members and political leaders from Amolatar District.

Bitek said he believes he can better serve his constituents and advance their interests by working from within government.

His defection adds to the growing list of opposition figures who have recently crossed to the ruling NRM.
