Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Prima Kardashi is venturing into DJing after revealing plans to begin a five-week course at Acacia Mall this week.
Prima, who has built a public profile through entertainment, business and social media, says she is excited about taking on the new skill and is looking forward to getting started.
The course will run for five weeks, after which Prima plans to produce a YouTube video to mark what she describes as her graduation and official entry into the DJing business.
Beyond learning the technical side of DJing, Prima hopes the new venture will translate into bookings, with ambitions of performing at different events and establishing herself among Uganda’s female DJs.

The latest move adds another venture to Prima’s growing portfolio. She has previously worked as a media personality and brand influencer, ventured into the food business through her Lusaniya brand, and taken part in corporate boxing.
Prima’s decision also comes as a number of Ugandan female media personalities and celebrities continue to explore DJing alongside their existing careers, including Sheilah Gashumba, Etania Mutoni and Zahara Totto.
For Prima, the five-week training marks another attempt to expand her brand beyond one line of business. Attention will now turn to her planned graduation video and whether the new skill eventually leads to regular DJ bookings.
