BBS Terefayina is reportedly facing growing internal pressure, with several employees said to have gone two months without salary despite continuing to work.
Inside sources at the Buganda Kingdom-owned television station claim staff last received their pay in August, leaving some struggling to meet financial obligations, including rent, school fees and household expenses.
The reported delays have reportedly caused frustration among employees, with uncertainty over when management will clear the outstanding salary arrears.
Meanwhile, senior news anchor Paul Kulumba has reportedly resigned from BBS Terefayina and is expected to join NBS Television.
Kulumba, who hosted the popular Ageesigika programme, is expected to take up a role anchoring NBS TV’s Luganda news bulletin, Amasengejje.
His reported departure would mark another notable move from BBS Terefayina to Next Media within the past year.
Sources further indicate that BBS management has assured staff that the outstanding salaries will eventually be paid, reportedly citing economic pressures affecting the station.
However, BBS Terefayina has not yet issued an official public statement addressing the reported salary delays or Kulumba’s departure.
