Acram Gumisiriza, the ex-husband of renowned educationist Dr. Hajat Kulthum Muzaata, has officially turned the page on his past relationship after proposing to his new bonkmate in the United States.
According to Photos and videos cited by Patrol officer, the excited Gumisiriza is seen getting down on one knee before presenting an engagement ring to his new lover, who happily accepted the proposal.
The romantic moment has already sparked reactions online, with many Ugandans congratulating the couple while others have revisited Gumisiriza’s previous high-profile marriage.
The latest engagement comes slightly more than a year after Gumisiriza’s marriage to Dr. Kulthum came to an end.
The two lovebirds had tied the knot in a widely publicized ceremony and spent about three years together before officially separating in June 2025.
Dr. Kulthum later publicly confirmed the breakup, explaining that the marriage had not lived up to her expectations and that the two had ultimately chosen to go their separate ways.
Their separation attracted considerable attention because of the public profiles of both individuals and the circumstances surrounding their relationship.

Dr. Kulthum is the widow of the late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte, one of Uganda’s prominent Islamic scholars.
Following Sheikh Muzaata’s death, her subsequent marriage to Gumisiriza became a major talking point among Ugandans, with their relationship frequently attracting attention both online and in mainstream media.
