Ugandan veteran dramatist, actor and media personality Charles James Ssenkubuge, popularly known as Siasa, is mourning the reported death of his wife, Agness Lilian Ssenkubuge.
News of Agness’ passing circulated on social media on Monday, September 21, 2026, with reports indicating that she had been battling an illness. Details surrounding her death have not yet been officially confirmed.
The news has left friends, colleagues and fans in Uganda’s entertainment and media circles mourning alongside the veteran performer and his family.
Siasa is the founder of Bakayimbira Dramactors and a renowned playwright and actor. He also serves as General Manager of Salt Media and is known for his pastoral work and previous presidential and mayoral ambitions.
Agness was publicly known as Siasa’s wife, with the couple having children together. She was also associated with Christ the King Church, where she served as a chorister.
