Eleven NRM supporters arrested at State House Nakasero have been released after the State withdrew criminal trespass charges against them.
The group was arrested on September 9, 2026, and accused of remaining at the premises with intent to annoy or intimidate Special Forces Command (SFC) soldiers on duty.
They were subsequently charged and remanded to Luzira Prison pending their next court appearance.
The group returned to Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, September 23, where the State withdrew all charges against them.
The withdrawal of the case paved the way for their immediate release after spending about two weeks on remand.
