Buganda Princess Katrina Sarah Ssangalyambogo is celebrating another academic milestone after completing her Master’s studies in Sports Business and Leadership in the United Kingdom.
The daughter of Buganda Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, Katrina has recently been at the centre of celebrations surrounding what has been described as her Royal Graduation Dinner.
Messages congratulating the princess have been shared widely on social media, with several prominent figures, including Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga, joining in the celebrations.
Katrina previously graduated from the University of Nottingham in July 2023 with an Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Business Management. Her mother, Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, attended the graduation ceremony in the UK.
She subsequently pursued a Master’s in Science in Sports Business and Leadership at Loughborough University, building on her long-standing interest and experience in the sports industry. Her professional experience has included work in sports analysis, events and digital media.
Sports have been a significant part of Katrina’s journey. During her earlier education, she participated in and led sporting activities including basketball and football, while she has also shown interest in swimming and volleyball.
Her professional path has similarly remained connected to sports and entertainment. She previously worked with sports-focused organisations and has been involved in sports content and digital media production.
The latest graduation celebrations add another chapter to the princess’s academic and professional journey, as she continues to build a profile around education, sports and events.
