Celebrated Triplets Ghetto Kids have shownoff a priceless souvenir from their unforgettable FIFA World Cup experience—a football personally signed by global music icon Shakira, which they hope to store in Uganda Museum.
The Kampala-based dance group revealed that they plan to bring the signed ball back to Uganda, where they hope it will be preserved in a museum as a lasting reminder of their historic appearance at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final halftime show.
The emotional moment came after the youngsters shared the stage with Shakira and Burna Boy during the FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium on July 19, 2026.
According to the group, Shakira personally signed the football before embracing the dancers in a heartwarming group hug, leaving the children overwhelmed with joy.
“This is something we want all Ugandans to remember,” the group said, adding that they hope the football will be preserved as a national keepsake celebrating Uganda’s presence on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
The Triplets Ghetto Kids have become one of Uganda’s biggest success stories, using dance to empower disadvantaged children while showcasing local talent to international audiences.
Their energetic performance to the tournament anthem “Dai Dai” caught the attention of FIFA organizers, earning them the opportunity to perform alongside two of the world’s biggest music stars at the World Cup final.
Their appearance marked a major milestone not only for the group but also for Uganda and East Africa, demonstrating that homegrown talent can captivate millions on the global stage.
