Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has revealed that he lost more than Shs4 billion (over US$1.2 million) after members of his own management team allegedly conspired to defraud him during attempts to purchase a private jet and a helicopter.

The Jeje hitmaker shared the shocking revelation while recounting one of the most painful financial setbacks of his career, saying the people he trusted most were allegedly behind the scheme.

The Multi-Million-Dollar Fraud Allegations

According to Diamond, he had already begun acquiring two luxury aircraft before the deals collapsed.

The first was a private jet being purchased from Miami, for which he had paid a US$550,000 deposit.

Police Investigation Exposed Alleged Betrayal

Diamond said he reported the matter to police, and investigations allegedly revealed that individuals within his own management team and personal assistants were involved in the fraud.

The singer described the discovery as deeply painful, saying the betrayal came from people he had trusted to handle his business affairs.

“I Wanted to Do Something Drastic”

Reflecting on the ordeal, Diamond admitted that the incident left him extremely angry and emotionally devastated.

He revealed that he considered taking drastic action against those allegedly involved but instead turned to prayer and fasting, asking God to give him the strength to respond wisely.

He said he prayed for grace to overcome the situation and avoid doing something he would later regret.
