Ugandan R&B singer Maro The Great is preparing for his return to the stage after a long break following the life-threatening road accident in Zambia that affected him, his friends, and his daughter.
About a year ago, Maro had announced plans for a major music event scheduled for September, but the plans were put on hold after the tragic accident, which left the singer and his team focusing on recovery and mental healing.
Although Maro escaped with no major physical injuries despite the severity of the crash, sources indicate that he and his team took time away from the spotlight to recover emotionally before resuming preparations.
The singer is now ready to reconnect with his fans and is reportedly targeting December 4, 2026, for his comeback concert.
Rumours suggest that possible venues being considered include Lugogo Cricket Oval, UMA Show Grounds, or Serena Hotel Kampala, with another performance expected in Jinja — a city closely associated with Maro, who is often celebrated as the “Son of the Nile.”
Fans are eagerly waiting for the return of the R&B star, who last delivered a major live performance during the November 2024 Roast and Rhyme event.
