Ugandan-American musician and son to Dr. Jose Chameleone, Abba Marcus Mayanja was arrested in the United States on August 14, 2026, over a misdemeanor domestic assault charge just a few hours after bitter breakup with baby mama Angel.
According to exclusive details provided to Celeb Patrol UG, Abba Mayanja was reportedly booked by Edina Police after being accused of an act allegedly intended to cause fear of immediate bodily harm or death. He remains in custody, with bail set at $10,000.
The arrest reportedly followed a report made to authorities by his pregnant girlfriend, Angel, amid a relationship that had recently attracted public attention.
Before the arrest, Mayanja had taken to social media to announce the end of his relationship with Angel, describing her as abusive and controlling.
The development has since generated reactions among Ugandan social media users, with some using the situation to call for people to break cycles of toxic relationships and family conflict.
