Ugandan musician Acidic Vokoz was brutally attacked and almost beaten up by a group of unidentified men shortly after performing at the Swengere Festival in Jinja which has devastated his fans.
A video circulating online shows a chaotic scene outside the event, with people pushing around white vehicles as members of the Swengere Rescue Team attempted to intervene. Acidic Vokoz was eventually escorted into a car, which drove away from the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the reported attack remain unclear. The identities of those involved, what triggered the confrontation and whether anyone was injured have not been established.

The incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of Ugandan musicians, particularly when leaving public events and moving through crowded areas.
It also comes amid renewed discussions about artist safety following a recent similar attack involving singer Alien Skin, with calls for event organisers and security agencies to strengthen measures protecting performers before, during and after shows.
