Singer Bruno K has joined efforts to trace Travis Preston, a US serviceman whom Ugandan woman Juliet Mbabazi says left her raising their two children alone in Mbarara.
Mbabazi claims she was married to Preston for about two years and that they have two children, aged three and seven. According to her account, Preston returned to the United States before cutting off financial support, leaving her to provide for the children.
Bruno K is now appealing to Ugandans living in the US and the US Embassy in Kampala to help locate Preston and establish the children’s legal status, including whether they may qualify for US citizenship or other assistance if the necessary documentation confirms their eligibility.

Ugandans serving in the US military have reportedly also contacted Bruno K and offered to assist with efforts to trace Preston.
Meanwhile, Bruno K is incorporating Mbabazi into a fundraising livestream aimed at helping her raise money for food and the children’s school fees as efforts to locate their alleged father continue.
