The body of Ugandan TikToker Timothy Kayanja, popularly known as Jayden, has returned to Uganda from India, where he died on September 15, 2026, while undergoing medical treatment.
The 24-year-old content creator had travelled to India for a bone marrow transplant after battling sickle cell disease, which later developed into aplastic anaemia—a condition that affects the bone marrow’s ability to produce enough blood cells.
His health struggles attracted public attention, with friends, fans and well-wishers supporting fundraising efforts for his treatment.
Jayden’s remains arrived at Entebbe International Airport at around 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 22, where they were received by family members, friends and mourners.
A Plus Funeral Management handled the body, while a team from TMR International Hospital, which had been involved in his earlier care, was also present. The remains were later transported towards Kampala and Nakulabye.
Funeral Arrangements
- Tuesday, September 22: Vigil at St. Kizito Catholic Church, Namungoona.
- Wednesday, September 23: Requiem Mass at 10:00am at St. Kizito Catholic Church, followed by a vigil at Sala Village, Wakiso District.
- Thursday, September 24: Requiem Mass at 10:00am in Sala Village, followed by burial at 4:00pm at his ancestral home.
Jayden’s death has left family, friends and his online community mourning the loss of a young content creator whose health journey had drawn widespread attention.
