Ugandan actress and media personality Stella Nante has thrown bitter shade at Flavia Tumusiime, her former boss and Head of Broadcast at NMG Uganda, following her exit from the Mwasuze Mutya show, asking why she begged her to join.
Stella ended her two-year stint on the NTV/Spark TV programme on September 1, 2026, saying she wanted to explore new projects.
Her departure came shortly after Flavia publicly asked viewers for their opinions on possible changes to Mwasuze Mutya and the direction they wanted the show to take.
However, Stella’s response appeared to carry a sarcastic undertone. In her post, she claimed that Flavia had previously begged and pleaded with her to remain on the programme, while suggesting that public opinion should have been sought before discussions about changing the show.
The remarks have since triggered debate online, with some social media users accusing Stella of being unprofessional and misinterpreting Flavia’s intentions.
Critics argue that Flavia’s request for audience feedback was intended to understand viewers’ preferences and improve the programme, rather than target Stella personally.
Stella’s comments have nevertheless added another layer to the conversation surrounding Mwasuze Mutya, with attention now turning to the show’s next chapter following her departure.
