Ugandan businessman, social commentator and political activist Frank Gashumba has shared a series of photos with his wife, Patience Mutoni Malaika, giving followers another glimpse into their sweet love life.
The couple appear happy and affectionate in the new pictures, with Gashumba proudly showing off Malaika as they enjoy a quiet moment together. The photos have since attracted attention from followers who praised the couple and celebrated their relationship.
Gashumba, who is known for his outspoken views on politics, business and social issues, has in recent years also attracted public attention because of changes in his personal life.
He formally introduced Malaika to her family in May 2025 during a traditional Gusaba ceremony in Ssembabule. The ceremony brought together family members, friends and several public figures as Gashumba and Malaika began a new chapter together. Reports at the time said the traditional arrangements included a bride price of Shs6 million and 12 cows.
Their relationship also marked a major change for Gashumba, who had spent many years as a bachelor. His daughter, media personality Sheilah Gashumba, publicly congratulated her father and Malaika following the ceremony. Sheilah also explained that she would continue calling her father’s wife Malaika rather than “mum.”
The family later welcomed a new member. In September 2025, Gashumba announced that he and Malaika had welcomed their first child together, saying both his wife and the baby were doing well. The child became Gashumba’s second, following his daughter Sheilah from a previous relationship.
Sheilah has since spoken positively about the changes she has seen in her father since his marriage to Malaika. In a 2026 interview, she described him as more relaxed and affectionate, crediting his new family life with bringing out a different side of him.
The latest photos therefore offer another glimpse into the family life of one of Uganda’s most outspoken public figures, as Gashumba continues to occasionally share moments with Malaika and their growing family.
