The entertainment industry is bracing for a massive night as award-winning Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz prepares to headline the highly anticipated Comedy Store UG Roast organized by celebrated comedian Alex Muhangi.
The show is scheduled for October 30, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, with Diamond expected to deliver a high-energy performance in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest entertainment events on Uganda’s 2026 calendar.
The WCB Wasafi boss is one of Africa’s biggest music exports, having built a huge regional and international following through hits including Jeje, Waah!, Yatapita, Nana, and Komasava.
Known for his energetic stage presence and elaborate performances, Diamond’s appearance is expected to give the Comedy Store UG Roast a major regional entertainment boost.
And he will not be coming alone as Africa’s Entertainment Heavyweights Join The Party in a star-studded cast featuring some of the biggest names in music and comedy from across East Africa.
Rwanda’s The Ben and Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi are among the regional stars expected to grace the event.
Uganda will be represented by music heavyweights including Sheebah Karungi, Spice Diana, Karole Kasita, Fik Fameica, Gloria Bugie, Laika, An-Known and Kabako.
The comedy lineup is equally loaded, featuring Patrick Salvado, Dr. Hilary Okello, Madrat & Chiko, Maulana & Reign, Teacher Mpamire, Bizonto, DJ Lolah, Merry Heart, Sammie & Shawa, Bobi Brown, Nilo Nilo and the Abeeka Band.
The show will be hosted by Kalela and Bree.

Gates will open at 2:00 PM, giving fans plenty of time to settle in before the entertainment gets underway.
