Former NTV Uganda Luganda news anchor Faridah Nakazibwe has opened up for the first time about her old legal battle with Hon. Justine Nameere, relating it to her latest battle with Masaka farmer.

Nameere is currently suing Masaka coffee supplier Nanyange Cissy over allegations that she owes Shs150 million for coffee supplies reportedly delivered during the 2026 election campaigns.

Reacting to the development, Faridah revealed that she also faced a defamation lawsuit from Nameere in 2019, claiming the matter never moved forward after mediation sessions allegedly failed to take place.

In a social media post, Faridah claimed that Nameere and her lawyers did not appear for mediation meetings after filing the case against her.

She said she later saw Nameere conducting media interviews claiming the matter had been resolved in her favour and demanding an apology, but Faridah maintained that she never received any court ruling confirming such an outcome.

“I waited for her to share a copy of the judge’s ruling. Up to date, I am still waiting,” Faridah stated.

Faridah and Justine Nameere have had a highly publicised disagreement over the years, dating back to their time after leaving NTV Uganda, with both personalities occasionally exchanging criticism publicly.

Faridah’s latest remarks have reignited discussions about their long-running differences as Nameere continues with her legal fight against the coffee supplier.

Ending her statement, Faridah wrote:

“Not everyone is defamable.”

The ongoing court case between Nameere and Nanyange continues to attract public attention as more details emerge.

The supplier doesn’t have to worry much. She also sued me for defamation in 2019, never showed up at all for any mediation seating. Not even her lawyer did. I only saw her many months later on a media tour, convincing the world how the case was concluded in her favour and that I… https://t.co/WSPwAVz6pD
