Journalist and social media activist Andrew Natumanya, popularly known as Ninye Tabz, was been released on police bond as investigations into allegations against him continue but tough options were presented.
Documents seen by this publication show that Natumanya was granted police bond and ordered to report back to investigators next week as part of the ongoing inquiry.
According to the police bond form, the journalist is being investigated over allegations of unauthorized disclosure of official information and unlawful disclosure of personal data.
As part of the bond conditions, Natumanya has been directed to report to the CID Commander at the Kampala Metropolitan Police Headquarters and the Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala on June 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

His release comes after days of growing public interest in the case, with journalists, activists, and social media users closely following developments surrounding the allegations.
The case has generated widespread discussion online, with supporters calling for due process and transparency as investigations continue.
Authorities have not yet announced whether formal charges will be brought against Natumanya, with the matter remaining under active investigation.

For now, the journalist remains out of custody on police bond as he awaits the next stage of the investigation.
