Police in Lyantonde District have arrested a 13-year-old TikToker over allegations of using social media to promote violence, sectarianism and attacking top government officials.

The suspect has been identified as Twikirize Clever, popularly known online as “Mad Hunter.” He is a casual worker and resident of Kooki D Cell in Lyantonde District.

According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that the teenager had been posting videos on his TikTok account containing vulgar, offensive and inflammatory language.

Authorities say some of the content is being investigated for allegedly inciting violence and promoting sectarianism.

Police said the suspect was traced through intelligence-led operations and arrested from a hideout in Kooki C Cell, Lyantonde District.

Twikirize is currently being held in police custody as detectives continue investigations into the allegations and work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the reported offences.

Police have also raised concern over the alleged nature of the content, particularly given the suspect’s age.

Police have reiterated their warning against using social media platforms to spread hate speech, incite violence or promote content that could cause division within communities.

Authorities said anyone found violating the law will face legal action, regardless of their age.

The investigation remains ongoing.
