Sadness has engulfed Uganda’s entertainment fraternity following reports that Nalongo Maggie Kaweesi, the widow of late singer AK47 (Emmanuel Mayanja), and ex-wife of singer Rabadaba has passed away.
According to multiple reports emerging, July 20, 2026, Nalongo Maggie reportedly died after being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mengo Hospital.
However, the exact cause of her death has not yet been officially disclosed, and neither her family nor close relatives had issued a formal statement at the time of publication.
Nalongo Maggie rose to public prominence as the wife of AK47, whom she married around 2012. The couple had twins before the singer’s untimely death in March 2015 under circumstances that attracted widespread public attention.
Following AK47’s death, she relocated abroad with her children for several years before recently returning to Uganda. Over the years, she remained in the public eye due to her personal life, including a marriage to musician Rabadaba, which later ended.
As news of her reported passing continues to circulate, messages of condolence have started pouring in from fans and members of the entertainment industry.
