The death of Ugandan TikToker Jovia 1235, left many in total shock and grief after news came out that she was stabbed to death by her best friend and roommate, identified as Rose or Gold Rose, leaving her wrapped up in bedsheets.
According to circulating accounts shared around August 22–23, 2026, Rose had reportedly recently moved into Jovia’s home after allegedly saying she had nowhere else to stay, eventually becoming her roommate.
The accounts claim that a misunderstanding between the two women later escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Rose allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed Jovia in the abdomen before allegedly cutting her throat.
Jovia’s body was reportedly wrapped in a bedsheet and left inside the residence.
How Jovia Was Reportedly Discovered
According to the circulating accounts, Jovia’s colleagues at Olive Bar/Olives Restaurant, where she worked as a waitress, became concerned after she stopped responding to calls and messages and reportedly failed to report to work.
They reportedly contacted her sister, who went to Jovia’s residence and allegedly discovered her body.
The landlord is also reportedly said to have seen Jovia’s friend leaving the house, while neighbours allegedly heard an argument before the incident.
There are also unverified claims that the alleged suspect may have fled, potentially leaving the country, and may have used Jovia’s phone to send messages while pretending to be her.

The alleged circumstances have particularly disturbed people who followed Jovia online because of her previous content about friendship.
Jovia had reportedly shared content expressing gratitude for having a supportive best friend who was not jealous of her, making the allegations surrounding her death even more heartbreaking for her followers.
