Renown TikToker Benson Pro has come out and issued a formal legal notice to Salt Media, threatening to sue them over statements allegedly aired on one of the station’s popular television programs.

According to the notice, the dispute comes from remarks made during the June 17, 2026 edition of Operation Fika Salaama, a program hosted by Charles James Senkubuge and Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as Full Figure.

Through their lawyers, Benson Pro alleges that the presenters broadcast misleading, unverified, and defamatory statements concerning the Benson Pro platform and its official, Mr. Benson.

The legal notice claims that comments made during the program portrayed Mr. Benson as a fraudster and a self-serving individual in relation to assistance reportedly offered to Nalubega Edisa.

Benson Pro argues that the statements were false, damaging to Mr. Benson’s reputation, and contrary to the minimum broadcasting standards outlined under the Uganda Communications Act, 2013.

As part of their demands, the complainants have asked Salt Media to provide documentary evidence supporting claims made on the program. Specifically, they want proof relating to an alleged agreement between Nalubega Edisa and Katamba Mahadi concerning the sale of Kibanja interests.

The legal team has further demanded an on-air apology to be broadcast on the same program where the statements were allegedly made, as well as a formal written apology from Salt Media management.

In addition, Benson Pro is seeking UGX 100 million in compensation for alleged reputational damage, legal expenses, and other related costs arising from the broadcast.

The notice warns that failure to comply with the demands within seven days could trigger legal proceedings against the media house and the presenters involved.

Among the actions being considered are court proceedings seeking damages, applications for regulatory intervention, and efforts to have the program suspended through relevant authorities.

The legal notice also references the possibility of pursuing complaints before regulators regarding Salt Media’s broadcasting operations if the matter is not resolved.

By the time of publication, Salt Media had not publicly responded to the allegations or the demands contained in the legal notice.
