Queen Sheebah has candidly shared details of a painful postpartum health condition she quietly battled after becoming a mother, shedding light on a challenge many women experience but rarely speak about publicly.

The “Neyanziza” singer revealed that she spent nearly one and a half years living with Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI), a condition that caused urine leakage during everyday activities and significantly affected her physical and emotional wellbeing.

Sheebah Reveals Hidden Struggle

According to the singer, the condition developed after childbirth and made ordinary activities such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, exercising, and performing on stage extremely difficult.

She explained that the condition resulted in repeated hospital visits, constant discomfort, emotional distress, anxiety, and moments when she felt isolated as she struggled privately while maintaining her public career.

Her revelation has sparked conversations about maternal health and the importance of seeking treatment for postpartum complications.

What Is Stress Urinary Incontinence?

Stress Urinary Incontinence is a medical condition in which urine leaks unintentionally when pressure is placed on the bladder during activities such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects, or exercising.

Medical experts say it commonly occurs after pregnancy and vaginal childbirth due to weakened or damaged pelvic floor muscles and supportive tissues.

The condition affects millions of women worldwide and, in many cases, can be successfully treated.

Surgery In India Changed Everything

After living with the condition for nearly 18 months, Sheebah travelled to India to undergo specialized corrective surgery.

She says the procedure was successful and marked a turning point in her recovery.

The singer has since regained her confidence and resumed her normal activities, including work commitments shortly after returning to Uganda.

Encouraging Women To Speak Up

By sharing her personal experience, Queen Sheebah hopes to encourage more women to seek medical help instead of silently enduring postpartum health complications.

She emphasized that conditions such as Stress Urinary Incontinence are treatable through medical care, physiotherapy, pelvic floor exercises, lifestyle changes, or surgery, depending on the severity.

Her openness has been praised by many fans, who say her story is helping break the stigma surrounding maternal health issues.
