Fresh details have finally come out about King Oyo’s “never told” child following new revelations from former Tooro Kingdom regent and cultural historian Rev. Richard Baguma who has enough proof.
Baguma, who is regarded as a leading authority on Tooro history and culture, spoke out on camera and confirmed during a local radio interview that the late Omukama had a child.
He further claimed that King Oyo had been living with the mother of his child at his residence in Buziga before his death.
The revelation comes days after King Oyo died in the United States on August 27, 2026, aged 34.

Tooro Kingdom leadership had earlier confirmed that the late monarch left behind a Prince heir, although the child’s identity has not yet been officially revealed.
Baguma, who served as regent during the reigns of three Tooro monarchs, including King Oyo, has now added fresh details to the growing public interest surrounding the royal succession.
The identity of the young Prince remains undisclosed, with Tooro expected to follow its cultural and traditional processes before formally unveiling the heir.
