Former Tooro Kingdom Cultural Journalist Baguma Reveals New Details About Oyo’s Secret Child

 Fresh details have emerged about the alleged young prince reportedly left behind by the late Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

Mr. Richard Baguma, a renowned journalist has reportedly confirmed that the late King left behind a child.

Speaking during an appearance on a local radio station, Baguma said it was true that King Oyo had a baby. He further claimed that the late monarch had allegedly been living with the mother of his child at his residence in Buziga.

The revelation comes just days after King Oyo’s reported death on August 27, 2026, at the age of 34 while in the United States.

Earlier reports indicated that Tooro Kingdom’s Prime Minister had also confirmed the existence of a young prince, assuring the kingdom that matters concerning succession and continuity would be handled in accordance with Tooro customs and traditions.

Baguma, has now added fresh historical and cultural context to the sensitive succession debate as Tooro continues to mourn its fallen monarch.

However, the identity of the alleged young prince has not yet been publicly disclosed, further fuelling public interest and speculation about the child’s future role in the kingdom.
