Patricia Rose Turindamukama has appeared before City Hall Court as the prime suspect in the shocking stabbing death of 22-year-old Jovia Namuwulya, a former waitress at Olives Restaurant and popular TikToker.
Namuwulya was found dead in her rented room in Bukoto on August 20, 2026, triggering widespread public attention and intense speculation on social media.
Turindamukama, who was reportedly living with Namuwulya for several months, was arrested on August 24 after allegedly disappearing following the incident.
Police are also reported to have recovered documents showing that Turindamukama applied for an Iraqi visa a day after Namuwulya’s death. The development has raised questions about whether she may have been preparing to leave Uganda, although the significance of the visa application remains part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Namuwulya’s death, including the suspected motive and what happened in the period leading up to the killing.
Social media has also been awash with claims about possible third-party involvement, but those allegations have not been independently established. Investigations remain ongoing as police work to establish exactly what happened.
