The self=proclaimed “King Herself”, singer Cindy Sanyu left fans disappointed after refusing to perform at the 2026 Uganda Festival in London despite flying in and being at the venue, accusing the event promoter of failing to pay her agreed performance balance.

The festival, held at Newham Leisure Centre in the UK, attracted several Ugandan entertainers, including Ray G, A Pass, Vyroota, Viana Indi, Suuna Ben, John Blaq, Kasuku, and Lynda Ddane, who all travelled to entertain revelers.

However, when it was Cindy’s turn to take the stage, the self-proclaimed “King Herself” declined to perform.

In a video that has since circulated online, Cindy explained that her contract required the promoter to clear her full payment before she stepped on stage.

According to the singer, she repeatedly waited as the promoter promised to settle the outstanding balance, but the payment never came.

“I had agreed to perform only after receiving my full balance. They kept asking me to wait until it became too late,” Cindy said.

She apologized to fans who had attended specifically to watch her perform, saying they deserved better despite the disagreement behind the scenes.
