Comedian and media personality Patrick Salvado has appealed directly to Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba over growing concerns about deadly truck accidents on Ugandan roads.
Addressing Muhoozi as “Le’Generale Afande,” Salvado called for action, saying innocent lives continue to be lost in crashes involving heavy trucks.
“Dear Le’Generale Afande @mkainerugaba .. these trucks have become super deadly, something must be done. We can’t keep losing innocent lives like this .. as a man of action, please hear the people’s cry. I thank you 🙏🏽”
Salvado’s message has since attracted attention online, with members of the public expressing frustration over the safety of heavy trucks and the conduct of some truck drivers.
Some reactions specifically pointed to Sinotruk drivers, while others called for transport authorities to take stronger measures to improve road safety and prevent further loss of life.
The comedian’s appeal comes amid renewed public concern over truck-related crashes, with calls growing for authorities to address road safety concerns before more innocent Ugandans become victims.
