Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo has updated his followers on the progress of his long-awaited “Pentagon” Church, revealing that the project cost has risen from Shs100B to about Shs120B, bringing budget to $15 million to begin.
The House of Prayer Ministries lead pastor made the revelation while addressing his congregation, explaining that the project continues to face financial challenges.
The mega church has been in the pipeline for several years, with Bujjingo repeatedly calling on his followers and well-wishers to support its construction.
Bujjingo previously revealed that the initial cost estimate made in 2019 was about Shs100 billion.

However, he said rising construction costs and changes in the economy have pushed the estimated budget to approximately Shs120 billion.
In 2025, the pastor announced that construction had been delayed after consultations with the project committee showed that the funds collected were not enough to begin the massive project.
He explained that the church had raised less than a tenth of the required amount, leaving a significant funding gap.
The Pentagon Church is planned as a major project for House of Prayer Ministries, but its construction will depend on the church raising the remaining funds.
