A viral video of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, the lead pastor of House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI), spraying water onto members of his congregation seated on muddy chairs using a handheld spray bottle has raised alot of questions among the followers.
The circulating clip shows Bugingo walking through the congregation during a church service, spraying what many online users have described as “holy water” onto worshippers gathered before him.
The unusual scene quickly attracted attention across social media platforms, where users shared humorous memes, jokes, and mixed opinions. While some believers viewed the act as part of the church’s faith-based practices, others questioned the purpose of using a spray bottle during the service.
Although the water has widely been described online as “holy water,” Pastor Bugingo has not publicly explained the purpose of the act in the viral clip.
